Navyansh, a vibrant 7‑month‑old baby boy from Muzaffarpur, was like any other child—full of smiles and curiosity. However, a routine check‑up revealed a whisper in his heart that was louder than it should have been.
His journey led him to the Indira Gandhi Institute of Cardiology in Patna. After a series of detailed examinations, including an X‑ray and an Echocardiogram (Echo), the doctors delivered a diagnosis that would change everything for his family.
In simple terms: The main blood vessels leaving his heart were abnormally connected, creating a “window” between them. This allowed blood to flow in the wrong direction, putting immense strain on his small heart and lungs.
The medical reports painted a clear picture of the challenges Navyansh faced:
Despite severity, his heart function remained fair (LVEF 57%) and no other major complications were found – making him a good candidate for corrective surgery.
At the shiksha Foundation, we believe that no child should be denied a chance at a healthy life due to a lack of resources or information.
We helped his family understand complex reports and connected them with the right specialists.
We are working to ensure the family is supported through this challenging time, helping them access necessary care.
Coordinating with the medical team at AIIMS and other top cardiac centres to facilitate the life‑saving surgery Navyansh needs.
Thanks to the dedication of the medical team and the support of the shiksha Foundation, Navyansh is on the path to recovery. His story is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the difference that compassionate support can make.
“His journey continues, but his smile tells us he’s a fighter.”
Stories like Navyansh’s are why we do what we do. Your donation can help us provide critical support for children with heart conditions.
